POSH FIZZ RECOMMENDS THAT YOU READ THE BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS, ALONG WITH THE FAQ SECTION IN FULL PRIOR TO MAKING A BOOKING

The price which has been quoted to you is based on the number of people that Posh Fizz was asked to quote for. The final price will depend on the final number of guests and the dates in question.

  • Deposit must be received within 2 weeks of booking
  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • The balance is payable 60 days prior to the event
    • Packages booked within 8 weeks of the start date must be paid in full on booking
    • Exact payment dates, account details for transfers and address for cheques and drafts for the deposit and balance will be provided on the invoice
  • Cancellations made after full payment are non-refundable

Hen gear may be confiscated at certain venues. Posh Fizz will not accept responsibility if this should arise.

Anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in a situation where you will be asked to leave. Posh Fizz will not accept any responsibility for such behaviour.

In the unlikely event of damages being caused, the client will be held responsible. We have never had a problem with any guests and would like very much to keep it this way!

Acceptance of the above conditions is implied when a booking is made and this constitutes the limit of our liability.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Initial Enquiry Stage

When I make an initial enquiry and Posh Fizz sends me a proposal, does this mean that there is availability?

The initial proposal sent to you is just to give you more info on the package. Once you tell us more definite numbers and dates, we will then check availability. Nothing will be formally booked until the non-refundable 20% deposit has been received and cleared.

Venues

What can you tell me about the venues that Posh Fizz uses?

Venue names will not be disclosed at the enquiry stage. The reason for this is that many venues do not wish to be known as “hen” locations. Once the deposit is received, we will then be in a position to provide more details. Posh Fizz only uses reputable venues and suppliers.

How to Book

What details do we have to provide to make a booking?

In order to draw up the invoice, the following details are required:

  1. Number of definite guests
  2. Breakdown into number of guests staying one night and number of guests staying 2 nights
  3. Activity Type, e.g. Pole Lesson
  4. Number of guests wanting treatments
  5. Cuisine Preference (We will need to know how many vegetarians there are nearer the time)
  6. Transport requirements
  7. Any Optional Extras
  8. Any additional information that you feel is relevant

How to Pay

How do I pay the deposit and / or balance?

Payment must be made by either be paid by bank draft, cheque or transfer. Credit cards are not accepted. The actual bank details and address will be provided on your invoice.

Can each guest pay separately?

No. One person should collect the money from individual guests and make ONE payment

When do payments need to be paid?

Deposit must be received within 2 weeks of booking
The balance is payable 60 days in advance of the weekend

Will you provide a receipt for payment?

Yes. When you have made the payment, please advise via email. Once we see the funds in the account, we will send a receipt. If you send a cheque, the receipt will be issued when the cheque clears.

Can I pay in sterling?

Yes. Please enquire for sterling price (which will be based on the invoice date exchange rate)

The Deposit

What is the Deposit used for?

On receipt of your deposit, all suppliers will be booked and your 20% deposit will be used to pay their Deposits

Is the deposit refundable?

Deposits are non-refundable

The Balance

Why do we have to pay the balance 60 days before the hen weekend?

Posh Fizz is given corporate rates, due to the high volume of bookings that we make with our suppliers. These rates can only be guaranteed if bookings are made well in advance.

The Price

Does this mean that if I make a late booking, my group will not get the same discounts?

We will always get the best value for our clients. However, as with other travel agencies early bookings can avail of larger choices

Why don’t you have a set price per person?

If we offered a set price per person, we would have to add on a certain percentage to cover drop-outs, high season bookings, rugby weekends, etc. By tailoring packages to suit each individual group, we do not need to add on such unfair charges.

This means that if numbers change, the price will in turn will change. We therefore always recommend that you only confirm those who are definitely coming on booking, as it is easier to add on guests at a later stage, than take them away. Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee that those booking at a later date will be accommodated. This is dependent on availability.

Change in Requirements

What happens if I enquire for a certain number of people and then realise that some more or less guests wish to come?

Unless you specifically requested a quote for a set number of people, we have probably given you a guide quote for 10, 15 and 20 guests. There is no problem asking for a new quote.

What happens if some guests do not wish to stay for 2 nights, do not want to partake in a certain activity or have any other special requests?

Once you tell us these details on booking, we will be able to provide the exact price per person, taking any special requests into account.

What happens if I have paid the deposit and then some guests do not wish to stay for 2 nights, do not want to partake in a certain activity or have any other special requests?

We will do our best to accommodate special requests after the booking has been made. The earlier you tell us of changes, the more likely it is that we will be able to help.

What happens if I have paid the balance and then some guests do not wish to stay for 2 nights, do not want to partake in a certain activity or have any other special requests?

We will do our best to accommodate special requests after the final payment has been made. We are unable to guarantee special requests will be met at this late stage.

What happens if I book for a certain number of people and some guests drop out before the balance is due?

The guest who wishes to drop-out will forfeit their deposit. We will do our best to accommodate the remaining guests and keep their price the same. However, it is possible that prices will rise, as per FAQ 9 above.

What happens if I book for a certain number of people and some guests drop out after the balance has been paid?

The guest who wishes to drop-out will have to forfeit their payment, regardless of the circumstances. It is extremely important to note that the group is not entitled to anything from the suppliers relating to the drop-out guest (e.g extra wine at dinner, additional treatments, etc.)

After Payment

What happens after the balance is made?

We will send you a receipt and a To Do list.

What is the To Do list?

This will be a list of items that you need to send us, including guest names and addresses for the invitations, photos of the bride for customised items and other miscellaneous items such as treatment schedule, etc.

The Benefits

What is the benefit of booking through Posh Fizz?

Apart from taking the hassle out of organising the weekend, Posh Fizz avails of corporate rates, due to the large number of bookings we make with our suppliers. This means that the price you pay is extremely competitive. You also receive some personal extras such as invitation keepsakes, customised menus and a Photobook gift for the bride.

Miscellaneous

Is breakfast included in our accommodation?

Breakfast is not included, unless specified.

Are transfers from our hotel included in the price?

Transfers are not included, unless specified.

Can you organise any “extras” for us – e.g. Champagne in the Bride to Be’s hotel room on arrival?

We will do our best to help with any extras that may be required. Please tell us at least 2 weeks before the weekend though! It is important to note that we do not guarantee that we will be able to help, but we will try!

Can we wear Hen Gear on Posh Fizz packages?

This is totally dependant on the venue and there is no “set” answer.

There is generally no problem with wearing hen gear during day-time activities. Pubs, restaurants and nightclubs each have their own rules and we can advise on an individual basis.

How many people can do Pole Dancing?

There are 3 poles in both Dublin and Carlow, so we recommend a maximum of 15 guests. However, we can squeeze in up to 20 guests for a hen party, but this means less time on the pole per person.

Can I have a Pole party in a venue of my choice?

Pole settings have to be fixed into the ceiling and floor, so only specific venues can be used.

What do I wear for Dance sessions?

For Pole lessons, shorts are ideal, so that you can grip the pole with your legs. We understand that shorts may not be possible, so even loose trousers would be fine (that can be rolled up if necessary). For Salsa, Flamenco and Belly-Dancing lessons, wear what you like!

Can we all go to the Spa together?

It depends on the spa. Many hotels only have 2 or 3 treatment rooms, so guests can only go in small groups for their treatments.

When do we have our treatments?

Depending on your venue and package type, we will send you a schedule to be filled in by you a few weeks prior to the weekend. This will include details of each guests’ treatment choice. We will then devise a schedule with the spa, which will in turn be passed on to you. Therefore, everyone will be clear on when they need to go to the spa.

Some of my guests are very shy and would only want a small part to play in the Murder Mystery. Is this ok?

Please tell us the names of the people who are shy and the names of those that are more outgoing. The “parts” will be allocated accordingly.

Will there be a Posh Fizz Representative at our weekend?

No. We will send you a full itinerary with directions, schedule details and contact numbers.
